Course Description:


This course is designed to provide the worker or handler of hazardous chemicals understanding, knowledge and introduction to the current changes to GHS.


The participant will leave the classroom with the general awareness of GHS and how to apply it in their workplace.


This half-day course will review the old standard and highlight the changes to the new standard.

Course Objectives:

  • Overview of Globally Harmonized System

  • Responsibilities of suppliers, employers, etc.

  • Hazard classes and categories

  • The supplier label

  • Workplace labeling

  • SDS (Safety Data Sheets)

  • Training requirements

  • Special cases, laboratories, and samples

GHS-Supervisor/Manager 2 Day

Course Description:


This course is designed to provide supervisors, managers or chemical specialists who are responsible for OSHA or health and safety in the workplace.

Course Objectives:

  • How GHS works

  • Hazard Communication System

  • GHS Employee Training

  • Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)

  • GHS Supplier Labels

  • Workplace Labeling Systems

  • Other means of Identification

  • Employer responsibility

  • Supplier responsibility
